In operation from mid-May to mid-October, this unique tour company offers high-altitude soaring adventures aboard a
three-passenger glider. Visitors can choose from 10, 20 and 30 minute soars.
The club is located just north of Durango at the Val-Air Glideport on highway 550.

Based out of the small town of Elbert, located a short distance north of Colorado Springs, the Black Forest Soaring Society offers scenic glider tours. Passengers are first towed by a plane with an engine and then once at the correct altitude, the engineless glider planes are released to provide an enjoyable flying experience. One pilot and one passenger per plane.
